Unusual predation events in Malagasy amphibians and reptiles

Abstract

The relation between prey and predator is a common interaction observed within animal communities, but usually poorly documented. Predation is often investigated from study of diet based on feces or regurgitation samples, rather than direct observation. He we report three unusual cases of predation by Malagasy amphibians and reptiles observed in nature and try to explore predation strategies and mechanisms of these observations.
